About Kody

Coach, Quaker youth worker, and trans advocate

Kody Gabriel (he/they) is a Certified Youth Well-Being Coach based in the homelands of Indigenous Tiwa-speaking peoples (New Mexico). Born and raised in Florida, Kody’s experience as an out trans teen in public school deeply shaped his commitment to young people and to other members of the trans community as an adult.

After leaving college, Kody worked in youth ministries for progressive religious groups (Quakers). As a youth work professional, Kody has a strong grounding in child and adolescent development, and experience mentoring many young people through coming out and transition processes. Their coaching is shaped by Quaker beliefs in the intrinsic worth and equality of every person, many years of practice in deep listening, and commitment to justice.

Kody is a certified through the Youth Coaching Institute.
